Rethinking CBD: Unlocking the Full Potential with Higher Doses
Exploring the dosage dilemma that has left many consumers feeling disheartened.
Key Takeaways:
1. CBD is only effective for anxiety & epilepsy at doses exceeding 300mg.
2. There are very few CBD products on the market that contain at least 300mg per dose.
3. The reason CBD hasn’t worked for you is because you haven’t been taking enough.
4. Shady CBD companies are responsible for the very misconceptions that ruined their own industry.
The Dosage Dilemma
CBD has become one of the most popular wellness supplements on the market since its initial boom in the early 2000’s. Since then, companies have made millions purporting various health claims to customers with little to no evidence to back them up. Because of this, many hopeful consumers have been left disappointed by their experiences with CBD, leaving them disillusioned and skeptical about its potential benefits.

Recent studies have however shed light on the possibility that many of the products’ shortcomings could be attributed to improper dosage. According to this study published by the Journal of Clinical Medicine, CBD users didn’t see any reduction in anxiety until they took over 300mg at a time! Once that threshold was reached, however, CBD’s anxiolytic effects were so notable that they were compared to well-known pharmaceuticals such as clonazepam. Similarly in the case of epilepsy, CBD only helped reduce seizures in patients at doses exceeding 10 mg/kg (over 500mg).
It’s disheartening to realize that manufacturers themselves are responsible for distrust in CBD products by selling severely under-dosed products to hopeful consumers. A quick scan of available options reveals that most products contain less than 300mg in an entire package, with an average of approximately 20mg per dose. These quantities fall significantly short of The Journal’s recommended minimum of 300mg.

The prevalence of underdosed CBD products contributes to the perpetuation of misconceptions about CBD's effectiveness. Consumers are left wondering why CBD fails to deliver the expected results when, in reality, they may not be receiving sufficient CBD to experience its true potential. This emphasizes the urgent need for a complete overhaul of CBD formulations in the market, along with increased awareness among consumers regarding proper dosing guidelines.
How to Find Properly Dosed CBD Products that Could Work for You
